What Is Quickbooks error 3371 status code 11118?

Quickbook error 3371 may occur when the user activates QuickBooks for the first time. EntitlementDataStore.ECML contains your license properties; if this file gets corrupted, then this error occurs. This can be corrupted if files are running in the background and you shut down your PC. It interrupts the accounting software syncing process and shows error code 3371 status code 11118 on a computer screen. It displays the error message ” QuickBooks could not initialize license properties”, or you can see one of these error messages 

  • “Could not initialize license properties. Error 3371”
  • “Could not initialize license properties[ error3371, status code-11118]”
  • “Could not initialize properties.[Error. 3371, Status Code-1]”

This file is a sensitive one as it contains the license properties related to the software

  • QuickBooks error  code 3371 may occur due to various reasons 
  • Some antivirus programs also block Quickbooks Desktop from synchronizing with Windows components required by QuickBooks
  • Required running files and folders for accounting software are damaged.

  • 80029c4a error code.
  • Damaged MSXML file.

  • Issues in printing, emailing, or saving to PDF from QuickBooks Desktop.
  • Failed or half-done window updates
  • Lose access to QuickBooks data file.
  • While installing and repairing QuickBooks: QuickBooks Error 1603, 1903, and QuickBooks Error 1904  may be encountered.

Methods To Fix QuickBooks Error 3371

Methods 1 – Run QuickBooks tool hub 

  • Download the latest version of QuickBooks Tool Hub 
  • Go to Quick Fix My Program and open it
  • Select installation issues, find error 3371, and fix the error
  • At last, open QuickBooks and open the data file. 
  • This way, it resolves all the issues in the desktop version.

Method 2- Delete the ECML file 

  • Press windows R 
  • Enter -C: Program Delta intuit Entitlement Client v8
  • Window Explorer will open this address
  • Now, delete the ECML file 
  • Again install QuickBooks and register the item.

Method 3 – Update Window Version

  • Go to start– all programs- window updates
  • Check for updates, if any then update to the newest version
  • Then reinstall and update QB Desktop again.

Method 4- Rename the claim file

To rename the file, there are different methods for the Windows XP operating system and the Windows 7 Operating system. 

For the WindowXP Operating System

  • Go to start- Run- C: Document and settings- All usersApplicationDataIntuitEntitlementClientv2. DataStore.ecml file will open.
  • Click OK to complete the process.
  • Rename the file: DataStore.ECML

For Window7 Operating System

  • Go on C: ProgramDataIntuitEntitlementClientv* and rename it
  • Open QuickBooks and it’ll generate a new file.
  • If the program data doesn’t appear, then go to the computer-organize-folder-search option
  • Look for the hide files and folder options in qQuickbooks.
  • Lastly, open QuickBooks, if QuickBooks Error Code 3371 is resolved 

Method 5- Manually

  • Recreate damaged entitlement file. Resolve the license and registration issues
  • Install Diagnostic Tool file: Microsoft NET  Framework, MSXML file, C++ Errors.
  • delete and install the Quickbooks File
  • Reboot and update QuickBooks to the latest version. 

If the problem still exists, after following all the above-given steps then, the problem could be due to some issues with the system or operating system.
